Dr. Shabir Barzanjeh
Dr. Shabir Barzanjeh, founder and scientific advisor for QuantaSense, specializes in theoretical and experimental research on nanofabricated electrical, mechanical and photonic quantum circuits. His pioneering work includes proposing a novel microwave-optical photon conversion technique based on mechanical resonators, advancing microwave-optical quantum teleportation. His research extends to developing quantum radar and microwave quantum illumination prototypes, driving innovation in quantum information science.

Taras Hrushevskyi
Taras is an accomplished technology leader with a background in experimental physics and a passion for innovation. Holding a MSc. in Physics from the University of Alberta, Taras worked on ultracold quantum gases and atomic quantum memories. Continuing as a Research Assistant in the Integrated Hybrid Quantum Circuit Lab, he gained valuable experience in quantum optics and data analysis. Since 2021, Taras is focused on developing quantum technology applications.

Mayte Li Gomez
Mayte is fascinated by quantum mechanics’ applications in biology and life sciences. With a BSc. from UCLA in Physics and Applied Mathematics, she conducted research in experimental quantum optics at ICN-UNAM, exploring temporal correlations in entangled two-photon absorption. Joining Dr. Barzanjeh’s team in 2021, she focused on quantum imaging and sensing projects. Mayte is driven to contribute to cutting-edge research at the intersection of quantum science and technology, aiming to make impactful advancements in diverse fields.

Abdul Mohamed
Abdul has always had a fascination with astrophysics, specifically observation measurement with telescopes and sensors. Desiring to better understand these technologies, he began his Master’s degree which transitioned into a PhD, studying quantum limited amplification on superconducting technologies and quantum sensing, specifically in subjects of vacuum squeezing, path entanglement, and coupled hybrid systems. His goal is to develop novel, commercial technologies based on quantum mechanics, bringing practical solutions to industry and society.
